Northern Lights - VJ

The Northern Lights or the Aureo Borealis is an amazing creation of God. The night sky at the areas near the North Pole and South Pole provide a wonderful array of colours. The solar wind from the Sun collides with the earth's atmosphere near the poles. The collisions in the atmosphere electronically excite atoms and molecules in the upper atmosphere. The excitation energy can be lost by light emission or collisions. This creates an amazing array of colours.
